This year marks the 7^th annual edition of the Festival Jardins Pedralbes. Organized by Concert Studio, this summertime music festival takes place in one of the most beautiful gardens of Barcelona, surrounding the Pedralbes Palace. Over the course of two months, a host of artists from various walks of life attract music-lovers from all over the world.

For our first time at Pedralbes this year, we snagged tickets to see the legendary Gipsy Kings! We arrived early because we wanted time to explore the gardens, and they didn’t disappoint. The setting is just incredible, with cascading bougainvillea flowers and several structures by the legendary artist of Barcelona, Antoni Gaudí. Tucked into every nook and cranny is a cluster of cozily arranged seats, and a small dance floor plays music to people who can’t wait for the concert to get started. If you’re hungry, you can book an exclusive dinner from Barcelona’s leading restaurants in the “terrazas secretas.”

The main stage is set against the backdrop of the palace. We were touched to see that some of the seats are marked “partial-view” because there are actually three trees within the auditorium! However, apart from that section, there’s not a bad seat in the house. The auditorium is so small that you’re guaranteed a good view no matter how far back you are. And, of course, when the Gipsy Kings are playing, the entire audience can’t help jumping up and dancing along!

Jardins Pedralbes is a music festival unlike any other, and it was a truly cool experience that we’ll definitely do again. If you like one of the artists on this list even just a little bit, this is a fantastic way to see them in an intimate setting without breaking the bank.
