ART PHOTO BCN RETURNS FOR ITS 2020 EDITION AFTER COVID-RELATED DELAYS

After several calendar changes due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Art Photo BCN has managed to secure dates for its seventh edition. The 2020 festival will be a bit different in that it’s offering two formats: a free, in-person exhibition at the Arts Santa Mònica, where there will be participation from local exhibitors, and a free, online platform created by Viewing Room 360.
The emerging photography festival is aimed at both professionals and students, as well as for photography fans in general. Art Photo Bcn also offers a more extensive programming of activities such as professional trainings, workshops and roundtable discussions. In addition, and for the second consecutive year, the Fiebre Photobook book market will be held!

The festival’s goal is to break the classical approaches to photography, create a space for meetings and dialogue and promote interaction and cooperation amongst the participating professionals, galleries and photography schools in Barcelona. More importantly, Art Photo BCN hopes to help the participating photographers reach a turning point in their careers by highlighting their work at the various exhibitions.
For the online section, the Fiebre Photobook market, professional workshops and other activities will be made available via the LIVE Auditorium; this format will be made available through December 31st. Among the galleries and cultural agents, there will be more than forty exhibitors, with the aim of invigorating the sector and creating a community around current photography.
