BARCELONA ASPIRES TO BECOME MEETING POINT FOR PROFESSIONAL BEER SECTOR WITH INNBREW

During the 18-month stretch when COVID-19 shut everything down and changed our world for what looks like forever, Beer Events, organizers of Barcelona Beer Fest, had time to think, plan, and rethink its future events and offerings. Last March, just after holding its pre-Beer-Fest press conference, they were forced to cancel the BBF 2020 festival, after plenty of careful planning and organizing, and felt pretty bummed out and let down. What to do?
They got to work.
What came from the long period of reflection was what is about to become Barcelona’s new brewers convention: InnBrew.
WHAT IS INN BREW?
InnBrew is a three-day convention organized to reach the objective of becoming the meeting point and reference for the professional beer sector in not only Spain but Southern Europe.

This event will meet the needs of companies dedicated to the beer sector at a time when the craft beer sector is in full expansion and growth, and the situation caused by the coronavirus pandemic has held back the expectations and goals of so many. The attending professionals can expect to enhance and improve their production process, management, communication, marketing, sales and supplies as well as having access professional training.
It will serve as the new Barcelona Beer Festival Pro, as its two organizers, Mikel Rius and Joan Fiol, attest. The idea is to forge its own identity, moving away from the Barcelona Beer Festival.

For this new edition, there will be a schedule of conferences in different fields to give training and business growth to the 1,500 professionals in attendance.
MAKEUP OF THE CONVENTION
The brewers convention will be divided into three sections: InnShow, InnTalks, and InnMeet.
InnShow
This is the exhibition area where there will be product and service stalls for the participating breweries; this year, there will be 35 stands. InnShow is designed for all companies that offer a product or service necessary for the production or distribution of craft beer.
InnTalks
This is where InnBrew distinguishes itself from the former Barcelona Beer Festival Pro: training. Here, brewing knowledge and innovation will be on full display. There will be: training sessions, presentations, and round tables. InnBrew’s hope is that InnTalks will become the annual meeting point where new trends, training, reflection, and growth can be discovered.

InnMeet
This section is all about networking. InnMeet is a continuous connection network that serves to promote professional links and maximize the number of contacts. It’s a way to allow for beer professionals to put faces to names, which, after a year-and-a-half of isolation, is even more valuable than ever. What’s more, each convention attendee will have access to an application they can use to contact other professionals, request meetings, and set up their own agenda.
WHERE AND WHEN?
The 1st edition of the InnBrew Brewers Convention will be held July 22-24 at La Farga de L’Hospitalet.
Hours: 10am to 6pm on July 22-23; 10am to 3pm on July 24
